VIDALIA – Services for Charles W. DeWeese Sr., of Vidalia, who died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at his residence surrounded by loving family, will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Riverside Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Glen Harrigill officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors from the Honor Guard of VFW Post 5002, under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mr. DeWeese was born Feb. 2, 1940, in Bowling Green, Ky., the son of James M. and Marie Stahl Miller DeWeese.

Mr. DeWeese was a NASCAR fan and avid weather enthusiast. He was a fisherman, loved his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. DeWeese was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Grace Wanda DeWeese; one brother, Robert DeWeese; and three sisters, Clara DeWeese, Ann Plante and Mary Kopeck.

Survivors include two sons, Chuck DeWeese Jr. and wife, Kay, of Vidalia and Robbie DeWeese and wife, Laura, of Dallas; one daughter, Stephanie Lemoine and husband, Raymond, of Vidalia; 10 grandchildren, Dusty Lemoine and wife, Amanda, of Baton Rouge, Kevin Wallick and wife, Sara, Collin Wallick and wife, Kelsey, Lil Casey DeWeese and Kaley DeWeese, all of Dallas, Jaci Harris and husband, Allen, of Pineville, La., Casey Wallick and wife, Melissa, of Lansing, Mich., Jake DeWeese and companion, Torie, of Bossier City, La., Carey Wallick of Houston and Tori Marling and husband, Hank, of Vidalia; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Holland of Nashville, Tenn., and Bess Bond of Dallas; one brother, Jimmy DeWeese and wife, Rachel, of Nashville; special friend and niece, Gene and Ann Booker; and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jake DeWeese, Dusty Lemoine, Trent Lemoine, Allen Harris, Hank Marling and Jamie DeWeese.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Booker and Bennie Gorham.
