RIDGECREST — Memorial services for Peggy Ann Prunty, 64, of Vidalia, who died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, in Vidalia, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Tommy Barron officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Prunty was born March 26, 1952, in Natchez, the daughter of John Thomas Etheridge and Ruth Kelly Etheridge.

She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and worked as a waitress at the Sandbar for 23 years.

Mrs. Prunty was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Otis “Kenny” Prunty; one daughter, Loyce Hale Kirby and husband, James Monroe Kirby V “Buddy” of Harrisonburg, La.; six sisters, Sue McCormack and husband, E.L. “Mack,” of West Monroe, La., Nell D’Antoni and husband, Jerry, and Katie Sue Jones, all of Zachary, La., Carolyn Squyres of Sicily Island, Betty Coleman and husband, John, and Mary Jones, all of Jonesville; three brothers, Jack Etheridge of Pineville, La., J.B. Etheridge of Sterlington, La., and Jessie Jones and wife, Kathy, of Ohio; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ridgecrest Baptist Church Loan Principle or a charity of choice.
