ACCS stays hot in district play

BROOKHAVEN — The Adams County Christian School Lady Rebels got a complete-game outing from Shelby Mason in a 6-3 win over the Brookhaven Academy Lady Cougars Monday night in MAIS District 4-AAA action.
Mason allowed three runs in the game — one of which after the first inning — and scattered seven hits. She struck out three and walked one. She helped her cause by going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
The game was tied at 2-2 after one inning before ACCS scored one run in the top of the second, third and fourth innings to open up a 5-2 lead. The Lady Rebels added one run in the top of the seventh.
Savanna Spear went 2-for-4 with three RBI, Lexie Emanuel went 2-for-3, and Anna McDaniel was 2-for-4. ACCS (5-2, 2-0) plays host to Cathedral at 6 p.m. today.
