WATERPROOF — Services for Leola Washington, 67, of Mableton, Ga., formerly of Waterproof, who died Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Ga., will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Myrtle Grove Baptist Church in Waterproof with the Rev. Dan Raymo officiating. 

Burial will follow at Good Samaritan Cemetery in Waterproof under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Ms. Washington was born Jan. 16, 1949, in Waterproof, the daughter of Emile Washington and Rosie Lee Henry.

She was a homemaker.

Ms. Washington was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Zachary; and three brothers, James Henry, Jerry Washington and Emile Washington.

Survivors include her lifelong companion, Leon Barece of Marietta, Ga.; two sisters, Rosie Ellis, and her twin, Ceola Washington and husband, George, all of New Orleans; 12 children, Matthew Washington, Rhonda Washington and husband, Hiram, Debra Hartsfield and husband, Ray, Dairian Washington, Erika Washington, Kizzy Washington, all of Marietta, Dexter Washington of Alexandria, La., Orlando Washington and wife, Ethel, of Smyrna, Ga., Imari Washington of Waterproof, Shantel Washington of Mableton, Sophia Washington of Hiram, Ga., and Kendra Barece of Austell, Ga.; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
