NATCHEZ — Services for Thelma “Thel” Green White, 85, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. J.L. Hammitte officiating. 

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Natchez chapel and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. White was born Aug. 12, 1931, in Stampley, the daughter of Robert and Mary Green.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arie; five children, Mary, Helen, Leroy, Jerry Dean and Carolyn; two sisters, Azilee Jones and Gertrude White; and three brothers, James, Robert Jr., and McArthur Green.

Survivors include four children, Clarence, Brenda Ann and husband, Willie, and Linda Fay, all of Natchez, and Catherine Marie of Huntsville, Ala.; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Aretha Lucas and husband, Leonard, and L.V. White and husband, L.A., of Chicago; one brother, Alfred Green of Fayette; special and dear extended family members; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
