NATCHEZ — Services for Tom McKinley “Swangin” Scott Jr., 58, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge, will be 11 a.m. today at Zion Flower Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Stanton officiating. 

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Scott was self-employed as a painter and a carpenter.

He was attended St. Mark Baptist Church No. 2.

Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Scott; his father, Tom Scott Sr.; two sisters, Sybrenna McBride and Thelma Dixon; and one brother, Larry Scott.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara “Shady” Scott; two sons, Tom Watts and Tom Scott; four sisters, Diane Griffin, Theresa Matthews, Bobbie Phipps and Deloris Scott; three stepsisters, Gloria Young, Gladys Smith and Cheryl Woods; and a number of relatives and friends.
