DOLOROSO — Services for Wilbert Rae “Man” Bailey, 67, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 2 p.m. today at Free Springs Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. George Noflin Sr. officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Bailey was born Jan. 25, 1949, in Natchez, the son of George Bailey Jr. and Fammie Barnes Bailey.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and assisted in the operations of the family-run business, Barnes & Bilbo Fish Market until January 2014.
Mr. Bailey was a faithful member of Free Springs Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as president of the usher board.
He was preceded in death by his parents; adoptive parents, Albert Evans and Cathlean Barnes Evans; one son, Eric Bailey; four brothers, Eddie Lee Bailey, George Evans, Theodore Evans and James Evans; two sisters, Mary Ann Nix and Margie Harris; four uncles, Wyatt Barnes, Dell Barnes, Walter Bailey and Aaron Barnes; and three aunts, Annie B. Harden, Rosetta Moore and Mary Wilkinson.
Survivors include one son, Terrell Bailey and wife, Genevie; one grandson Elijah Bailey, all of Gulfport; one granddaughter, Skylar Wolfe of Grapevine, Texas; two sisters, Theresa Lynn Bailey of San Antonio, Texas and Deloris Irving and husband, the Rev. Maurice, of Natchez; three brothers, Albert Evans Jr. and wife, Charlotte, of Conyers, Ga., Tommie Evans of New York City and Adell Evans of Natchez; one aunt, Ruth Barnes of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
