NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Mary Ridley, 83, of Muskegon, Mich., who died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2016, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Natchez City Cemetery.  

Burial will follow under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Ms. Ridley was born June 2, 1933, in Adams County, the daughter of George Dailey and Marguerite Ridley.

She was employed as the lead dietitian for Muskegon High School. She was retired.

Ms. Ridley was a devout Catholic and a member of the NAACP. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and enjoyed the lakes in Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Survivors include one daughter, Caroline Anderson; one son, Charles Anderson; one sister, Amelia Lyerly; one brother, Edward G. Dailey; five grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren, family and friends.
