NATCHEZ — The ladies of First Baptist Church and Woman 2 Woman ministry invite all area women to attend the “Cry Out!” simulcast from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 23 at the church.
Jenny Beasley, one of the event organizers says she is extremely excited about the event.
“Imagine hundreds of thousands of women gathered in thousands of locations seeking God together for such a time as this,” Beasley said. “What could be more vital at this critical time?”
The event, which is televised in select locations nationally, is an event of the Revive Our Hearts organization headed up by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth.
According to their website, this event comes at a critical time for our nation as the past few months have seen growing unrest and the future holds an inevitable leadership change.
“I’m asking the Lord to place a deeper hunger for prayer in the hearts of thousands of women for such a time as this,” Wolgemuth said. “ These are dark days for sure. But this is not a time to despair. These days present an opportunity for the Lord to display His amazing ways. That’s why we need to seek His face and ask Him to show His power by reviving the church and drawing the hearts of lost sinners to Himself.”
The three hour-long prayer meeting will focus on various areas for prayer emphasis: personal, families, churches, nation and the world. Each area will feature a different keynote speaker and will also include Scripture reading. There will also be short devotionals, interactive prayer and worship.
While this is the first time for this simulcast, Beasley and the other women hope ladies of the Miss-Lou will come out to this free event in large numbers.
“Coming together in united prayer is a powerful thing,” Beasley said. “Seeking the Lord with all our hearts is imperative because He is our only source of hope and true peace.”
The goal of the event is to promote a sense of unity among the women in the community.
“Other women all over the country will be gathering at the same time for the same event,” Beasley said. “You can be part of this movement.”
