FERRIDAY — Services for Randy Welch, 47, of Wilmot, Ark., formerly of Ferriday, who died Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, at Rapides General Hospital, will be 5 p.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Louis Sklar officiating.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. Welch was born June 25, 1969, in Thibodaux, La., the son of Robert Welch and Nora Tidwell.
He was employed at U.P.S-Midstream. He proudly served in the United States Army for six years and served two tours of combat in Iraq. His love for his children and grandchildren was his greatest joy.
Mr. Welch was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Lynn Welch and Joey Welch.
Survivors include his fiancee´ Erin Craven of Wilmot, son, Josh Ratcliff of Vidalia, daughter, Haley Welch of Clayton; son, Sam Welch of Pensacola and their mother, Lucia Creighton of Natchitoches; grandsons, Braxton Ratcliff and Karter Ratcliff; granddaughter, Camryn Ratcliff; brother, Bill Sandford and wife, Bridget; sisters, Karen Enterkin, Donna Brewer and husband, Snapper, and Wendy Drews and husband, Jim; and a number of nieces and nephews.
