Adams County Sheriff’s Office looking in every corner to stop crime

Adams County Sheriff’s deputies appear to be working to stop crime at every angle.

The sheriff’s office has recently made a number of small, but seemingly interconnected arrests by taking a no-holds- barred approach to crime fighting.

Several weeks ago, the sheriff’s special operations group began targeting, of all things, prostitution.

As logic would suggest many of those associated with the prostitution arrests had connections with others who were in possession of drugs or selling drugs.

As investigators continued to peel back the layers, they discovered more and more connections to other crimes.

Last week, deputies arrested four more suspects accused of drug possession and trafficking to suspicions of dogfighting.

The diligent work of investigators shows just how often one criminal is connected to another criminal who is connected to another and so on.

We applaud the work of the sheriff’s office. The men and women who work day and night fighting the criminal element in our community may have gotten a brief upper hand recently, but they continue to need the help of law-abiding citizens.
