NATCHEZ — Services for Billy Lowery, 58, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, Sept.15, 2016, at his residence surrounded by his family, will be 12 noon Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shannon Pennington officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Lowery was born Feb. 9, 1958, in New Orleans, the son of Jim and Pearl Barber and Clinton Lowery.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim Barber, Clinton Lowery, BJ Latham, Midge Latham and Margaret Latham; grandparents, Rayford and Cassie Lowery and Louise Amerson; one brother, Bobby Lowery; and one brother-in-law, Gene Pennington.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Becky Lowery; one son, Billy Ray Lowery Jr. and wife, April; one daughter, Brandy Cowan and husband, Will; seven grandchildren, Trey Lowery, Dylan Lowery, Alyssa Edens, Ginney Lowery, Becca Cowan, Colby Cowan and Stratton May; one great granddaughter,
Paisley Perrin; mother, Pearl Barber; one brother, Bruce Lowery and his wife, Tina; two sisters, Eva and Neva Pennington; four nieces, Amy Matthews, Briston Paris, Allison Paris and Jaycee Paris; a devoted caregiver and sister, Mary Paris; and special friends, Gerald Cornwell and Sandy Stampley.
Pallbearers will be Billy Ray Lowery Jr., Trey Lowery, Dylan Lowery, Will Cowan, Randy Price, Michael Brown, Michael Jones and Joey Turner.
Honorary pallbearers are Colby Cowan, Randall Price, and Gerald Cornwell.
A special thanks to Camellia Hospice and his nurses, Penny Crane, Jessie Credle and Sherry Smith. These devoted women stood by his side day and night, comforting not only him, but the family. We will forever be grateful for them and also, Ricardo with DME Solis.
