NATCHEZ — A celebration of life service for Barbara Sellers, 87, who died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, will 5 p.m. Saturday at Washington United Methodist Church in Washington.
Mrs. Sellers has joined her Lord Jesus Christ and dear loved ones in heaven. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Sellers spent her entire career in the field of nursing caring for others. She was one of those ladies who never met a stranger and was loving and kind to everyone she met.
She loved her extended family, enjoyed board and card games and was very active in the Moose Lodge. She was also very active and involved at church, attending and working at Washington United Methodist Church and later at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church in the Atlanta area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Sellers; her parents, Gordon Meschutt and Ellen Rebecca Meschutt; one daughter, Sherry Barron; one son, Patrick Sellers; and two sisters, Ruby Meschutt and Gayle Gates.
Survivors include three daughters, Bonny Byars of Diamondhead, Libby Barron of Pensacola, Fla., and Susanne Sellers of Atlanta; two sons, Ben Sellers and wife, Diane, and Tommy Sellers, all of Atlanta; six grandchildren, Joel Barron, Shawn Byars and wife, Jennifer, Kimble Byars, Chris Stithem and wife, Bullet, Preston Sellers and Sara Beth Sellers; one daughter-in-law, Vivian Seller; and a number of beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church in her honor.
