Mangham High School, ranked No. 6 in Class 2A, scored 20 points in the first quarter and went on to defeat the Class 1A Block High School Bears 34-12 Friday night.
“We did a lot better than we played the last couple of weeks,” Block head coach Bo Sproles said. “They jumped on us early before we settled in. I like the way we finished the game.”
Block (0-4) plays at 7 p.m. Friday at Rayville High School.
