NATCHEZ — Services for Dewitte Tyrone “Ty” Nelson, 42, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Monday at New Hope The Vision Center Baptist Church in Natchez with Bishop Stanley B. Searcy Sr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Zion Mount Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be today from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home chapel in Natchez and 10 a.m. until service Monday time at the church.

Mr. Nelson was born March 13, 1974, in Natchez, the son of Dewitte Rumbles and Gloria J. Nelson.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sandy and Elizabeth Griffin and Sylvester Rumbles and Mary Herrington; one sister, Kristina L. Nelson; one brother, Randy Jones; two aunts, Rosalie Jackson and Sandra Davis; two uncles, George White and Garfield Griffin; one niece, Trinide Griffin; three cousins, Narvelena Butler, Patricia Proby and Christopher Griffin.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Morton Nelson; two children, Tyneisha Morton and Tyrell Morton; both his parents; one grandchild, Try Davis Jr.; eight sisters, Lena Mae Moore, Ella Mae Kaho, Rochelle and Wilbur Redmond, Rose Rumbles, Mary Nelson, Kristina and Anthony Carter, Natasha and Aronte’ Patten, and Tracy Griffin; eight brothers, Edward Rumbles, Larry Johnson Sr., Dewitte Rumbles, Lamont Donald, Dewitte Shorts, James Nelson, John Nelson and Quent Nelson; special friend, Shani ReNee Hill; and a host of aunts, uncles nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
