WCCA looks to stay on winning path at River Oaks

Even though Friday night’s game between Wilkinson County Christian Academy and River Oaks School perhaps may seem like a mismatch, Rams head coach Christopher McGraw thinks otherwise.
McGraw said River Oaks presents a “big challenge” despite its 1-5 record.
“One is playing at their place. Whether they’re 10-0 or 0-10, they always have great support from their fan base,” McGraw said.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Friday in Monroe, La. .
McGraw said the Mustangs’ backfield is as big as any he has seen all season with three running backs who each weigh more than 230 pounds.
McGraw said that the offensive line will have to step up its play with WCCA’s top two running backs out with injuries. He said the key to success for his team will be catching the football.
“We’re having too many drops,” he said. “(Quarterback) Caleb (Poole) has done a good job throwing the football,” McGraw said.
