Scout Chandler and Tyler Thomassie each had two touchdown runs as the Centreville Academy Tigers cruised to a 33-6 win over the Central Private School Rebels Friday night in an MAIS District 5-AAA game.
Chandler established the running game with a pair of long runs, the second of which turned into a 41-yard touchdown run at the 11:37 mark of the first quarter. He also scored on a 31-yard run with 7:43 to go in the opening quarter.
It remained 13-0 from that point until there was 7:49 left in the game. That’s when Thomassie scored on a 1-yard run and Austen Addington added the 2-point conversion run to make it 21-0. Matthew Parnell made it 27-0 on a 37-yard interception return and Thomassie ran in from three yards out for a 33-0 lead.
Centreville Academy (5-2, 3-0) steps out of district play at 7 p.m. Friday when it plays at Trinity Episcopal.
