NATCHEZ — Services for Laura Marie Eidt, 79, of Southaven, who died Oct. 1, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., will be 11 a.m. today at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
There will be a celebration of Laura’s life, at the home of Orilla Joseph, 38 Kingston Road in Natchez, after the committal service at the cemetery until 4 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
Mrs. Eidt was born Feb. 16, 1937, in Biloxi, the daughter of Mary Elizabeth Denham.
She moved to Natchez in 1953, and met the love of her life. They were married Oct. 19, 1957.
She is preceded in death by her mother.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Andrew Eidt; two daughters, Donna Elizabeth Camburn and husband, Bobby, and Andrea Susan Joseph and husband, Tommy; four grandchildren, Rachel Leigh Smith and husband, Steven, Christopher Drew Camburn and wife, Ashley, Steven Ashton Joseph and wife, Christie, and Craig Thomas Joseph and wife, Mary Frances; two great-grandchildren, Caroline Marie and Paxton Elijah; two sisters, Barbara Murray of Natchez and Faye Kimbrough of San Antonio, Texas; sisters-in-law, Prissy Eidt, Carolyn Myers, Delilah Beesley and husband, Walter, Phyllis Barnett and Sue Beesley and husband, Ken; and dear friends, Sammy and Pam Dossett.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Camburn, Bryant Murray, Craig Joseph, Drew Camburn, Steven Joseph and Tommy Joseph.
