NATCHEZ — Services for J.C. Allen Sr., 88, of Fayette, who died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at Jefferson County Nursing Home, will be 11 a.m. today at Smithland Baptist Church with the Rev. Earnest Ford Jr. officiating.   
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Allen was born July 10, 1928, in Church Hill, the son of Willie and Sarah Johnson Allen.
He was a member of the Rodeo Club.
Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Josie Lee Howard Allen; and one grandson, Montrell Allen.
Survivors include three daughters, Sarah Allen, Vera Barnes and Sharon Riddle, all of Fayette; seven sons, Willie Allen, Robert Robinson, Jerry Allen, June Allen, Michael Allen and wife, Mary Ann, Cedric Kemp and Joseph Kemp, all of Fayette; and a number of other relatives and friends.
