FERRIDAY — Services for Rosa Mae Hollins “Silla” Henderson, 69, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Beulah Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Melvin White officiating.   10_07-rosamhhenderson-obitpic
Burial will follow at the Vidalia City Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Henderson was born May 30, 1947, in Natchez, the daughter of Roger Hollins Sr. and Elnora Scott Hollins.
She was a faithful member of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Natchez until her health failed.
Mrs. Henderson was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Michael M. Hollins; one sister, Patricia Ann Scott; and three brothers, Johnnie Wilson, Rogers Hollins and Andrew Hollins.
Survivors include a beloved husband, Cemueal Henderson; one daughter, Carolyn Scott and husband, Freddie, of Natchez; three sons, Michael Hollins, James Hollins and Tyrone Hollins, all of Ferriday; four sisters, Earline Hollins and husband, John, Elnora Young and husband, Rickey, all of New Orleans, Aline Carter and husband, Lawrence, of Ferriday and Emmaline Scott of Vidalia; four brothers, Matthew Scott and wife, Debra, of New Orleans, Donald Ray Scott and wife, Denise, of Minneapolis, Minn., Ricky Hollins and wife, Katina, and Randy Scott, all of Vidalia; 10 grandchildren, Kenda Hollins, Nicole Matta, Nicole Jones, Tyneshia Hollins, Tyrone Hollins Jr., Michell Jones, Jamala Minor, James Hollins Jr., Damien Hollins, Malcolm Heard and Williana Heard; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
