Trinity unable to keep up with Centreville, 55-26

Austen Addington had three long touchdown runs and a kickoff return for a score to lead three Centreville Academy players who had multiple touchdowns as the Tigers defeated the Trinity Episcopal Saints 55-26 Friday night.
Addington had touchdown runs of 52 and 54 yards in the first quarter, returned the opening kickoff of the second half 82 yards for a touchdown, and scored on a 37-yard run just past the midway mark of the fourth quarter.
Scout Chandler had touchdown runs of seven and 23 yards while Stone Reyonlds had touchdown runs of seven and 26 yards for the Tigers.
The Tigers’ defense had its issues with Trinity Episcopal’s passing game, which tallied 426 yards, but it did hold the Saints’ running game to minus-3 yards.
Kevontaye Caston threw a 48-yard touchdown pass to Demond Fleming in the first quarter, but the Saints found themselves down 28-8 at halftime.
Cortez Adams scored on a 27-yard run with 4:30 to go in the third quarter, but Chandler’s 23-yard TD run made it a 47-14 game with 11:21 remaining.
Centreville Academy (6-2) hosts Cathedral for senior night at 7 p.m. Friday. Trinity Episcopal (3-5) plays at 7 p.m. Friday at Glenbrook School.
