The Jefferson County High School Tigers will look to get back on the winning track at 7 p.m. Friday when they travel to Wesson to take on the Wesson High School Tigers in an MHSAA Region 7-3A game.

Jefferson County (2-5, 1-1) is coming off a 50-12 setback at the hands of Wilkinson County High School, while Wesson (4-4, 0-2) lost at Port Gibson High School 34-13 last week.

A win puts Jefferson County at 2-1 in region play while a loss to the Cobras will put them in a hole with No. 1 Hazlehurst and Franklin County looming.

Jefferson County head coach James Herrington was unavailable for comment Wednesday.
