NATCHEZ — Services for Charles Harris Robinette Jr., 76, who died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at his residence, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Sam Godfrey officiating.
Burial will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona under of the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Mr. Robinette was born July 28, 1940, in Greenwood, the son of Charles Harris Robinette Sr. and Vivian Smith Robinette.
He was a 1958 graduate of Greenwood High School. After receiving a bachelor of science degree in history from Millsaps College in 1962, he worked for Leflore Economic Association. He also worked for University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Tandy Corporation, was co-owner of Metalcraft, Inc., owned a number of electronic stores and committed the rest of his professional career to the Mississippi Office of State Auditor as an investigative auditor. He married his wife, Connie, in 1980.
Mr. Robinette was preceded in death by parents and one sister, Geraldine R. Huggins.
Survivors include his wife, Connie; three children, Joey Garrett, Charlie Robinette and daughter Lacey Robinette; four grandchildren, Audrey and Avery Garrett and Greenlee and Harris Robinette.
Mr. Robinette a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Natchez.
He loved sports, motorcycles and his dogs.
The family request memorials be made to the Natchez Adams County Humane Society or to a charity of choice.
