NATCHEZ — Services for Thelma McGlory Clark Green, 87, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Word of Faith Ambassadors Worship Center with the Rev. Joe W. Pickett officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 5:45 p.m. today at the funeral home with a celebration of life wake service at 6 p.m.
Visitation will continue at 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Green was born Aug. 9, 1929, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Starks McGlory and Joanna Gilchrist McGlory.
She attended Jefferson County public schools and Georgia Hughes Beauty School and was a licensed beautician.
Mrs. Green was a member of Union Baptist Church and served as a deaconess.
She enjoyed baking, sewing, cooking, watching and attending sport events.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Stanley Clark Sr., the father of her children, and James Green; brothers and sisters; and one grandson.
Survivors include five sons, Stanley Clark Jr., Larry Clark, Frank Clark, Carl Clark and wife, Hattie, and James Clark; three daughters, Essie Mae Jeffries and husband, Eugene, of Los Angeles, Joanna Tolfort of Fort Worth, Texas and Cynthia Herring and husband, Gerald, of Houston; one sister, Ernestine McGlory Vaughn of Chicago; 17 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
