NATCHEZ — Services for Winfred Eugene Hicks, 82, of Natchez, who died Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at his residence, will be noon Thursday at Morgantown Baptist Church with Dr. Edgar Wright officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Mr. Hicks was born March 14, 1934, in Laurel, the son of Clarence C. Hicks and Maggie Mauldin Hicks.
He was owner and operator of Hicks Automotive Supply for 15 years. He also served in the Korean War.
Mr. Hicks was a member of Morgantown Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeanette Holifield Hicks; and two brothers, Thomas L. Hicks and Douglas L. Hicks.
Survivors include two sons, Randall Hicks and wife, Dianne, of Garner, N.C., and Donald L. Hicks and wife, Lynn, of Natchez; four grandchildren, James Tyson and wife, Nikki, Lacie Boykin and husband, Matt, Kelsey Goodew and husband, Josh, and Justin Hicks and fiancée, Lauren Dungan; four great-grandchildren, Landry and Heidi Tyson, Tyson Hicks and Emersyn Boykin; one brother, Roy C. Hicks and wife, Linda, of Laurel; and two sisters-in-law, Anita Hicks and Lou Hicks.
Pallbearers will be James Tyson, Justin Hicks, Matt Boykin, Ethan Rymer, Jeff Boykin and Zack Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morgantown Baptist Church.
