NATCHEZ — Services for Estelle “Stelle” “Pooh” Fleming, 82, of Natchez, who died Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Washington officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Natchez chapel and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Fleming was born Nov. 18, 1934, in Natchez, the daughter of Freddie L. Davis and Gertrude Drew Washington.
She was a deaconess.
Mrs. Fleming was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Alfred Haywood and Erdis Fleming; six siblings, Matt Washington Jr., James Washington, Henry Washington, George Washington, Leroy Woodfork and Willie Davis.
Survivors include two sons, Jerome Haywood and wife, Leilani, of Kansas City, Mo., and Nathaniel Haywood and wife, Sharon, of Ackworth, Ga.; four grandchildren, Chris Haywood, Sharne Haywood, Alex Haywood and DeAndre Haywood; five brothers, Michael Washington and Carl Washington and wife, Renetta, both of Gulfport, James Davis and wife, Reba, of Dallas, Earnest Davis and wife, Virginia, of Tyler, Texas, and Robert Davis and wife, Rosemary, of Camden, Ark.; six sisters, Martha Williams and husband, Robert, of Brandon, Judy C. Davis of Gulfport, Betty W. Sago and husband, Monroe, and Harriet Green and husband, Donald, all of Natchez, Lynell Major and husband, Joe, of Houston, and Mary V. Davis of Jackson; one special niece, Melita Pickett of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
