NATCHEZ — Services for Shirley Ann Bates, 64, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at her residence, will be noon Saturday at Southwood Lodge Baptist Church with the Rev. Traci Cusic officiating.  
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the Natchez chapel and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Bates was born Dec. 12, 1951, in Jonesville, the daughter of James and Mary Walker.
She was a member of Southwood Lodge Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bates was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny Bates; one son, Tilton C. Bates; two siblings, Jimmy and Sam Walker; and friend, Shirley B. Mosby.
Survivors include one daughter, M. Lavonda Bates; three grandchildren, Robert Bates, Roshanda Bates and Dequarius Bates; five stepchildren, Linda Bates, Johnny Bates Jr., Anthony Bates and wife, Cabrina, Antonio Johnson and wife, Ketdricka, and Quiro Johnson and wife, Courtney; one special friend, Mary Brown; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
