MONROE, La. — Ferriday High School capitalized on two fumble returns for scores to knock off undefeated Ouachita Christian, 42-32, in a pivotal District 2-2A game Friday night.
Ferriday (7-3, 4-1) now sits atop the district tied with Ouachita Christian and Sterlington.
“This was a big game,” FHS coach Dwight Woods said. “This was big psychologically for us going into the playoffs. The kids stepped up and played very well against a team that very few teams can play with.”
