NATCHEZ — Services for James E. “Trey” Neely III, 44, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Wes Faulk officiating.
Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday, both at the church.
Trey was born May 1, 1972, in Natchez, the son of James Edward Neely Jr. and Sheryl Gilbert Neely.
He attended the First Baptist Church in Vidalia. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He loved spending time at his camp house at Deer Park, La. Trey was a beloved husband, father and son who was loved by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jessie Neely; maternal grandparents, Frank and Margie Gilbert; paternal grandfather, James E. Neely Sr.; father-in-law, Herbert Goins; and two uncles, Steve Gilbert and Michael Wayne Neely.
Survivors include his wife, Holly Neely; one son, Tyler Neely of Natchez; his parents of Natchez; paternal grandmother, Betty Neely of Natchez; mother-in-law, Shirley Smith and husband, Lee, of Helena, Ark.; step mother-in-law, Belva Goins of Burkville, Texas; brother-in-law, Brian Goins and wife, Kristy, of Centerville, Tenn.; and a number of uncles, aunts and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Geoghegan Clarke, Carter Austin, Conner Verucchi, Paul Burke, Richard Ratcliffe, Brent Weadock, Tristin Coon and Drew McGivaren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rob Gilbert and Bryan Gilbert.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Vidalia, Adult Three Caring Class, 100 North Hickory St., Vidalia, LA 71373 or to a charity of your choice.
