FERRIDAY — Services for Larry G. Sims, 62, of Ferriday, who died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at his residence, will be noon Saturday at Old St. Reed Baptist Church, Levee Heights in Ferriday, with the Rev. Jarrod Bottley officiating.
Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Sims was born Sept. 4, 1954, in Spearsville, La., the son of David and Arbetta Griffin Sims.
He was a forklift operator.
Mr. Sims was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harold Loyd, Rueben Sims and James Sims; and one sister, Faye Ard.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Turner Sims; two daughters, Shanetra Turner and Tierra Turner of Ferriday; one son, Jonathan Gray of Monroe, La.; one stepdaughter, Jameka Turner of Houston; one stepson, Christopher Turner of Clayton; one brother, Bennie Loyd and wife, Dorothy, of Ferriday; three sisters, Betty LaCase of Spearsville, Ruth DeBurr and husband, Johnny, of Monroe, and Diane Dredd and husband, Donald, of Ruston, La.; three grandchildren, ZanRon Williams Jr., ZaMarion Williams and Christopher Turner Jr.
