KOSCIUSKO — A Mass of Resurrection for Mary Katherine Whitam Jenkins, 84, of Sallis, who died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Therese Catholic Church with the Rev. Odel Medina, S.T., officiating.
Burial will follow at the Harnonia Congregational Methodist Church in Sallis under the direction of Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, followed by prayer of the rosary.
Visitation will continue Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mrs. Jenkins was born Dec. 20, 1931, in Natchez, the daughter of Charles Leroy Whitam Sr. and Catherine McCabe Whitam.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Levi Cecil Jenkins Jr.; one daughter, Katherine Louise Jenkins; and two brothers, Charles Leroy Whitam Jr. and William Andrew Whitam and his wife, Mary.
Survivors include four sons, Randy Jenkins and wife, Nancy, Lane Jenkins and wife, BJ, Glenn Jenkins and wife, Vivian, and James Jenkins; four daughters, Cynthia Lyles, Linda Dollar and husband, Woody, Donna O’Brien and husband, Austin, and Becky Sollie and husband, Tim; 15 grandchildren, Alex Jenkins and wife, Cee-Cee, Maddy Jenkins, Katie Katzenmeyer, Molly Crouch and husband, Blaine, Brian Jenkins, Amy Riggs and husband, Austin, William Lyles and wife, Julie, Brent Lyles, Jacob Dollar and wife, Jessie, Eric Dollar, Ingrid O’Brien, Katherine O’Brien, Audrey Jordan and husband, Will, Emily Sollie and Rachel Sollie; 10 great-grandchildren; one nephew, Greg Whitam; and one sister-in-law, Rose Whitam.
