FERRIDAY — Services for George Bolton James Sr., 88, of Waterproof, who died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2016, in Waterproof, will be 11 a.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Clyde Ray Webber officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mr. James was born June 3, 1928, in Newton, the son of Orrin James and Vida Huff James.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a third degree Mason. He was also a farmer and cattleman for more than 35 years.
Mr. James was preceded in death by his wife, Jettie Johnson James; his parents; stepmother, Myrtle Smith James; one grandson, William Cody James; and two sisters, Jacqueline Gibson and Martha Rabb.
Survivors include two sons, George Bolton James Jr. of Waterproof and Orrin James and wife, Laura, of Ferriday; two granddaughters, Ashley Wiggins and husband, Evan, and J.J. Rabb and husband, Bryan, all of Natchez; and six great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Blair Lee, Lindsey Claire Lee, Lara Wiggins, Cassidey Wiggins, Reagan Elizabeth Rabb and Colton James Rabb.
Pallbearers will be Evan Wiggins, Bryan Rabb, Jay James, Claude Rabb, Charlie Waters and Jimmy Rhodes.
