NATCHEZ — Services for Jackie Calhoun Templeton Jr., 62, of Baton Rouge, who died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at Lane Medical Center in Zachary, La., will be noon Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Boutwell officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Templeton was born Sept. 28, 1954, in Natchez, the son of Jackie Calhoun Templeton Sr. and Angeline Grace Engstrom Templeton.
He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1974. After graduating from Northwestern Electronics School in Minneapolis, Minn., he worked for Zalk Steel and McDonald Douglas in the electronics field.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother, Ann French; and stepfather, Howard French.
Survivors include one son, Max Peltola and wife, Brittany, of Minneapolis; two brothers, Thomas Templeton and wife, Paulette, of St. Francisville, La., and Cal Templeton of Petal; two sisters, Toby Burnett and husband, Mike, of Brandon and Cathy Vanderwall and husband, Tom, of Portland, Ore.; two granddaughters, Emerson and Elliot Peltola; one niece, Rachel Burnett; two nephews, Josh Burnett and Mark Kleps; one great-niece; and one great- nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Natchez-Adams Humane Society, P. O. Box 549, Natchez, MS 39121.
