NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Lynne S. Dix, 83, of Natchez, who died December 8, 2016 at Adams County Nursing, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home with the Rev. David McGuffie officiating.

Burial will follow at Ephesus Cemetery in Union Church under the direction of Laird Funeral Home

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dix was born April 8, 1933 in Jefferson County the daughter of Pervie C. Smith and Ruth Adele Lambert Smith.

She graduated from Union Church Consolidated School and was valedictorian of her class. She received a associate degree from Draughon’s  Business College. Mrs. Dix was a Paralegal and retired from Gwin, Lewis & Punches Law Firm.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Julia Ruth Dix, one grandson, Scott Owens, and one brother, Robert Samuel Smith.

Survivors include, one daughter, Cathy Gibson; three sons, Robert Dix, Bill Dix and Michael Dix; grandchildren, Meghan Gibson Campbell, Melissa Gibson, Joshua Gibson, John Devon Gibson and numerous other grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two sisters, Katherine Case and Ann Taylor.

Pallbearers will be Burt Case, Bill Smith, Lee Case, Gerry Smith, Eric Campbell and Robert Dix.
