NATCHEZ — Services for Frank James “Cookie” Ware, 56, of Chicago, formerly of Natchez, who died Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, in Chicago, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Daughters of Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Monroe Ware officiating.
Burial will follow in the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.
Mr. Ware was born Dec. 23, 1959, in Natchez, the son of Bowser and Isabelle Ware.
He was educated in the Natchez-Adams County public school system and was a member of the Class of 1977. He was baptized at an early at Daughters of Zion Baptist Church.
Mr. Ware served in the U.S. Navy..
Mr Ware was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Shaka Ware Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Catherine Green Ware; three daughters, Kandi Ware, Renate Ware and Riva Ware; one stepdaughter, Margo Green; seven sons, Frako Ware, Shaka Ware Sr., Kato Ware, Romaine Ware, Jerrico Ware, General Ware and Joshua Ware; four granddaughters, Kaisey Ware, Nevaeh Ware, Shakira Ware and Ariyunna Green; four grandsons, Montae Ware, Duvall Walker Jr., Malen Cater-Ware and Aydien Curry; one sister, Pearlie Ann Goodman and husband, Malcolm; two brothers, Jimmy Lee Ware and wife, Quartreate, and Bowser Ware Jr.; three nieces; three nephews; and a number of other relatives and friends.
