NATCHEZ — Services for Arthur Lee Jackson, 64, of Natchez, who died Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Aid Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brooks officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home with a Masonic ceremony at 5 p.m. A celebration of life wake service will follow at 6 p.m.

Visitation will continue Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service  at the church.

Mr. Jackson was born May 23, 1952, in Adams County, the son of Wilbert Jackson and Rosa Lee Patterson Jackson.

He was a 1970 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School. His undergraduate studies were at Jackson State University and Alcorn State University.

Arthur was a retired park ranger with the federal government. He was a member of Forest Aid Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was also a member of L.R. Paige Masonic Lodge No. 20 – Adah Grand Chapter Order of Easter Star.

Arthur enjoyed reading, crafts, Black History, computers and motorcycles.

Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, McKenzie Rose Jackson.

Survivors include his wife, Luridean Scott Jackson; one son, Treon M. Jackson; two daughters, Keshala B, Jackson and Letitia Danielle Jackson; one brother, Lee W. Jackson; two sisters, Berthenia Rose Jackson and Patricia Jackson; three grandchildren, Ashleigh Lolis, Treon Jackson II and Cruz John-Arthur Jackson; two brothers-in-law, Robert Scott and wife, Dora, and Johnny Scott and wife, Jean; four sisters-in-law, Shirley Lindsey, JoAnn Chatman and husband, Roosevelt, Doris Jones and husband, Coil Lee, and Rhonda Scott; and a number of other relatives and friends.
