WINNSBORO, La. — Services for Mary Katherine Short, 86, of Winnsboro, La., who died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, in Rayville, La., were 10 a.m. Tuesday at Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Craig Beeman officiating.
A private family burial service will be at Myrtle Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Mrs. Short was born Aug. 22, 1930, in Perry County, Ark., the daughter of Cloyce Dennis and Edna Wilson Dennis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Short Sr. and one great-granddaughter, Josie Pylant.
Survivors include three children, Harold A. Short Jr. of New Orleans, Donald and Martha Kay Womack of Mangham, La., and Dennis and Darby Short of Natchez; grandchildren, Jason and Nora Pylant of Crowville, La., Ben and Tory Womack and Hays and Julie Womack, all of Mangham; and great-grandchildren, Paige Rugg, Julia Kate Pylant and Kelsey Pylant.
Pallbearers were Jason Pylant, Ben Womack, Hays Womack and Patrick Ward.
