FERRIDAY — Services for Mary L. “Momma Cat” Watson, 56, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at her residence, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday.

Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Lewis officiating under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Watson was born Dec. 19, 1960 in Ferriday, the daughter of Archie Griffin and Agnes Watson.

She was a janitor at Ferriday High School.

Mrs. Watson in preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Watson.

Survivors include one son, Vernon Watson; one daughter, Viola Watson, both of Ferriday; one brother, Andre Evans, of Clayton; six sisters, Irma J. Watson, Agnes White, Lorraine White and Geraldine West all of Jonesville; Lisa Evans Leonard of Ferriday; Stephanie Williams of McComb; one uncle, Allen Watson; one aunt, Joe Helen Lee, both of Ferriday; her godchild, TyDarrius Robinson, of Texas City, Texas.
