Weather forces schedule changes

A number of area games scheduled for today have been postponed because of the potential of freezing rain mixed with sleet and snow.
Adams County Christian School’s and Trinity Episcopal’s district home contests against Simpson and Clinton Christian academies, respectively, have been postponed to an undetermined date at this time.
Natchez High School’s Region 6-5A home games against Brookhaven High School are still on schedule, NHS boys coach David Haywood told The Democrat Thursday night.
Cathedral High School’s games at Sacred Heart are still scheduled as planned, with the girls’ game tipping off at 6 p.m.
Ferriday and Vidalia high school coaches said Thursday a determination on their games be made sometime today.
Other area games:
:Jefferson County High School’s home region contest against Wesson High School have been postponed.
:Wilkinson County High School’s at South Pike have been canceled.
:Centreville Academy’s road games at Bowling Green have been moved up to a 2 p.m. start time.
