NATCHEZ — Services for Curtis M. “Buddie” Long, 67, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at George F. West Sr. Memorial Chapel at West Gate Funeral Home.  
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday, both at the funeral home.
Mr. Long was born March 24, 1949, in Natchez, the son of Corine Long.
He attended Brumfield Elementary School and was retired from Automotive Machine Shop.
Mr. Long enjoyed watching wrestling and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother; grandmother, Julia Young; and great-grandmother, Florence Owens.
Survivors include his only daughter, Patricia Long; one granddaughter, Jasmine Long; one great-grandson, Jhakeel Hawkins Jr., all of Houston; one beloved sister, Julia Mae Johnson of Natchez; one god-sister, Helen “Troy” Owens of Natchez; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
