VIDALIA — A memorial mass for Joseph Earl LeBouef, 83, of Natchez, who died Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, in New Orleans, with his family by his side, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Vidalia, with a recitation of the rosary at 9:30 a.m.  01_05-josephelebouef-obitpic
A service will be 2 p.m. today at Greenoaks Funeral Home Chapel, 9595 Florida Boulevard in Baton Rouge.
Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park under the direction of Greenoaks Funeral Home.
Visitation will be today from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. LeBouef was born Dec. 22, 1933, in New Roads, La., the son of Joseph and Noelie LeBouef.
He and Marguerite Catherine Dietrich were married Feb. 3, 1962, and spent most of their life together in Natchez.
Earl worked as a professional photographer until he retired in 1998. He enjoyed hunting and carpentry. He was a pilot bobsledder from 1953 to 1956, winning a U.S. Bobsled World Championship in 1955.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine; two children, Karen Tyson and husband, Joseph, of New Orleans and Martin LeBouef and wife, Paget, of Freeport, Fla.; and three granddaughters, Maggie, Sarah and Cecilia Tyson.
