NATCHEZ — Services for Lillie Mae McGrew, 90, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Leo Udeague officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. McGrew was born Aug. 9, 1926, in Natchez, the daughter of James Johnson and Amanda Jerome Chase.
She was a graduate of St. Francis High School in Natchez and was self-employed. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Mrs. McGrew enjoyed reading the Bible and other religious books, jigsaw puzzles, playing Scrabble, spades and gin rummy. She also loved cats and dogs.
Mrs. McGrew was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman McGrew Sr.; two brothers, Willie Johnson and Charles Johnson; and two sisters, Jamie L. Williams and Katie M. Johnson.
Survivors include two sons, Herman McGrew Jr. and James L. McGrew; five daughters, Marjorie McGrew, Ann Range and husband, Benjamin, Lillian McGrew, Melinda McGrew and Catherine McGrew; two nieces, Lula Mora and Sandra Ross; three nephews, John Hillard, Peter Hillard and James O’Neil; 11 grandchildren; Guy Green, Zharqui Harris, Nicholas McGrew, Bryan McGrew, Brandy McGrew, Cody McGrew, Emmanuel Lewis, Jameca McGrew, Kayla McGrew, Desiree McGrew and Wade McGrew; and a number of other relatives.
