MEADVILLE — Graveside services for Joy “Bubba” Roberts, 72, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be 3 p.m. Friday at Midway Cemetery in Meadville with the Rev. Lance Moak officiating.  01_19-joyroberts-obitpic
Burial will follow under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville.
Mr. Roberts was born Dec. 12, 1944, in Ferriday, the son of Henry Lee and Annie Benner McKay Roberts.
Mr. Roberts worked for a number of years in the oilfield for McCullough Atlas and retired as a backoff specialist. He also worked as a handyman after retirement. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Mr. Roberts was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Charlotte Loflin Roberts; one brother, Sonny Roberts; two sisters, Joyce Roberts and Marie Roberts Aswell; and one grandson, Jason Michael Barnes.
Survivors include two daughters, Ginger Snow and Terri Adams; three sons, Bobby Barnes, Joey Barnes and Danny Roberts; one brother, Lee Roberts; two sisters, Annette Lewis and Linda Ann Roberts; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a number of family and friends.
