NATCHEZ — Services for Harvesta Marsaw-Woods, 71, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Jan, 17, 2017, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at the Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Ms. Woods was born Feb. 27, 1945, in Natchez, the daughter of Steve and Adlean Marsaw.
She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and served as kitchen director.
Ms. Woods was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Randy Woods Sr.; and one brother, Clarence Marsaw.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirlean Davis and husband, Melvin; one son, Anthony Woods and wife, Tammy; seven grandchildren, LaRandus Davis and wife, Jessica, Shawnese Davis, Melvin LaDarrin Davis, Randy Davis Jr., Anthony Johnson, Quintarrus Williams and Latara Davis; two sisters, Dora Williams and husband, Cornelius, of Natchez and Bennie Dean McMorris and husband, Theodore, of Chicago; two brothers, Leroy Marsaw and Herbert “Skeet” Marsaw and wife, Bobbie, of Chicago; and a special and devoted friend, Lee Ross of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be Carl Marsaw, Cornelius Williams, Roderick Williams, Cyrus Williams, Cyrus Marsaw and Charles Bacon.
