NATCHEZ — Services for James Edward Watts, 72, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Springfield Baptist Church with Phillip Hemby officiating.
Burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
Mr. Watts was born Feb. 5, 1944, in Natchez, the son of James and Meredith Burt Watts.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge C.T. Hunting Camp.
Mr. Watts was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Rusty Watts; and one grandson, Josh Watts.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Barbara Taylor Watts; one son, Phillip Watts; one daughter, Shannon Watts Russ and husband, Jeff; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Watts; five grandchildren, Hunter Russ, Kathleen Rymer and husband, Austin, Kaleb Watts, Brody Watts and Mandy Watts; one great-grandson, Hayden King; and a number of other relatives and friends.
