KERENS, Texas — A twilight service for the Rev. Samuel Washington, 87, of Dallas, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Lancaster, Texas.  
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Kerens, Texas.
A third service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Windy Hill Baptist Church No. 2, 320 Cranfield Road, in Natchez.
Arrangements are under the direction of Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas.
The Rev. Washington was the pastor of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Kerens for 49 years.
He was the founder and owner of Robert’s Ready to Wear established in 1960,
Survivors include his wife, LaVerne Washington; two sons, Timothy Sr. and Samuel Jr.; and two daughters, Lois Ann and Elizabeth and husband, Carl.
