Junior Auxiliary of Natchez selling spaghetti for repairs to Duncan Park Canteen

Published 12:41 am Sunday, February 5, 2017

The ladies of the Junior Auxiliary of Natchez are selling spaghetti lunch tickets in order to raise money for much needed repairs to the JA Canteen located in Duncan Park.

The Natchez chapter is one of only four in all of the many national chapters who own their own facility. The history of this building is close to the heart of every lady in J.A. and as with any property, time has taken its toll on the building and the ladies are looking to raise enough money to make proper upgrades and renovations as rentals of this building help sustain the group.

The lunch will be prepared by the ladies and will consist of Spaghetti with meat sauce, side salad, garlic toast and a cookie. Each ticket is $8. Orders of 5 or more will be delivered on the date of the event, February 10th. Pick-up and delivery will begin at 11 a.m. from Uptown Grocery located on Canal Street in Historic downtown Natchez.

Every lady in Junior Auxiliary has tickets and the cut-off date for securing your tickets is February 6th.

Please remember the work the ladies of the Junior Auxiliary have done, are doing and plan to do. The canteen is an integral part of many of the long-standing and newly-established projects the ladies perform each year. Your support is appreciated more than you know.

If you wish to purchase a ticket in the Natchez area, you may do so at the Edward Jones office on Franklin Street or Uptown Grocery. If you are in the Vidalia and Ferriday area, you can stop by Hicks – Chiks in Ferriday. If you would like to make a donation, you can also take care of that in these locations.
