FERRIDAY — A memorial service for Lizzie B. Singleton, 88, of Clayton, who died Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Concordia Funeral Home Chapel with George Whittle officiating.
Miss Singleton was born Aug. 28, 1929, in Clayton, the daughter of Cleveland and Carrie Mason Singleton.
She was retired from Concordia Parish Head Start as a bus monitor.
Miss Singleton was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, George Mason, Grover Singleton and Sam Singleton; and two sisters, Amada Summers and Katie Rowan Cook.
Survivors include two daughters, Ernestine Singleton of Columbia, S.C. and Curtis Ray Motley of Muskegon, Mich.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
