FAYETTE — Services for Lila Brown, 97, of Fayette, who died Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at Jefferson County Nursing Home, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Crown Point United Methodist Church in Fayette with the Rev. Barney Rankin officiating.
Burial will follow at Richland Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Brown was born Sept. 9, 1919, in Tallahatchie County, the daughter of Walter Jones Sr. and Willie Dell Wise.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sammie Brown; one son, Larry Flower; a loving daughter-in-law, Rosie Jones; two brothers, Walter Jones and T.W. Simmon; and two nephews, Lewis and W.C. Jones.
Survivors include one son, Joe Willie Brown; four grandchildren, Yulanda Flower, Germaine Flower, Kanesa Johnson and Trinita Robinson; one special niece, Catherine Williams; a special friend, George Fells; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
