NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Thomas J. Wactor Sr., 78, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at his residence, will be 3 p.m. today at Taylor Cemetery on Palestine Rd.
Burial will be under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Mr. Wactor was born May 28, 1938, the son of Louis Quitman Wactor and Mary Barbara McCoy Wactor.
He was a lifelong worker in all aspects of the oil field business including owner/operator of Mid-South Swabbing Company.
Mr. Wactor was preceded in death by parents; two brothers, Willie Wactor and Floyd Wactor; four sisters, Allie Mae Wactor, Bessie Whittington Madge Martin and Ruth Faust; and two great-grandchildren, Jaycelyn Cox and Mycah Cox.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Wactor; son, Tommy Wactor and wife, Bridget; four daughters, Kathy Cater, Debbie Moore and husband, Tommy, Jeannie Cox and husband, Allen and Leigh Ann Chafton; adopted son, Eli Moore; 10 grandchildren, Casey Moore, Tiffany Corley and husband, Lee, Heather Cox, Courtney Cox, T.J. Moore and wife, Felicia, Chad Wactor, David Cater and wife, Dana, Megan Cater, Chelsea Heidel and husband, Robert and Macy Chafton; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eli Moore, Chad Wactor, David Cater, Allen Cox, Tommy Moore and Kevin Partridge.
